Tennis Leader Courses

About - Tennis Leaders in an exciting programme which can help young people develop their employability and life skills. Take your first step on the ladder to a career in sport.
What's Involved - The Leaders Courses are available to anyone aged 13-16yrs or anyone 16+ in full time education or wishing to get involved. Made up of 1 core module and 4 additional modules; Introduction to tennis, Volunteering at your venue, Leding a session, Helping at your school and Helping at a competition.
Complete the core module and one additional module to become a certified Tennis Leader

Tennis Leaders is an exciting programme aimed to help young people develop life skills and employability.
It is their first step to a career in sport.

The course will address the following:

  • Introduction to learning the basics.
  • Understanding variations of the game across all ages and abilities.
  • Structure of physical activity communication skills organization.
  • Skills key on court drills court safety and delivery.

This will form the basis of becoming a Tennis Leader.

The sessions will be held on the following dates, which must be attended.

  • Tuesday 1st June – 2pm to 4pm
  • Wednesday 2nd June – 2pm to 4pm
  • Thursday 3rd June – 2pm to 4pm
  • Friday 4th June – 2pm – 4pm
Rather than charge for the Tennis Leaders course we simply ask that you make a donation to our Hit4Henley Just Giving page which is in aid of NOMAD Henley. Hit 4 Henley has been set up whilst Henley on Thames is under Tier 4 restrictions. Head Coach Tom is delivering 1-2-1 Tennis lessons to all Adult (18+) members (1 per member) of Henley Tennis Club. Instead of taking revenue all funds are to go directly to charity. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
